A mothers patience tried!!

This was one of those 24 hour periods where you question whether you were really ment to be a parent. At 10:30 at night I found Tylar in the bathroom trying to "wash off" waterproof mascara she had found and applied herself - makeup remover did not do it justice (took a couple of days). Then early the next morning when I had left the girls eating breakfast to go get dressed I returned only to find Ryann had applied her own makeup - thankfully Ryann had used "washable markers" bless you Crayola. I figued it was better to take a picture than to cry so here you go.
It makes me laugh now but I was not laughing (too much) at the time; Tylar sure looked pathetic when she got caught, I couldn't get too mad at her due to her already being paniced by the time I had discovered her. Tylar informed me that she was not going to wear makeup again until at "least 10 year old".

July in MD

July is a fun month here - we have the community 4th of July party for everyone - games for all ages. Our friends the Fritzges ran it the last couple of years and we got to help out. We usually fill up all the water balloon (300)!

Raynn had snuck into the coolers and had gotten herself a diet coke. She was so proud of herself

Tylar just can't wait for the ice cream eating contest every year - and this from a kid who won't finish an ice cream cone the rest of the year.

Tylar making her Fireworks debuet.

The adult party of the year - which I have ran the last couple of years. Box Hill Crab Feast - it was such fun this year, our friends outside of the community joined us this year.

Me with some of the ladies from the neighborhood. Love my ladies.

The absolutely best babysitter in the world - Merideth we love you.

Beach Play

We were invited to a beach in Delware with our friends the Pelletiers. The girls really love being outside, and to my surprise Tylar was the one I had to watch at the waters edge. Thank the lord Ryann was afraid of the crashing waves :).

Tylar and her friend Ashley (they have known each other since they were 2-3 months old, and they are 3 weeks apart in age).

Summer Luv'n

Ryann actually quiet!! - Love that kid.

The girls went to a Ballet Tea/Camp - Ryanns 1st try at organized dance class. They both are dancing this year.

Gymnastics for both girls - medals for both

Dress up girls.

Strawberry picking - one of our families favorite summer trips. The girls probably eat as much as they pick, usually they have red stained faces on our way home.

Catching Up - Spring/Summer Fun

Fishing on family friends Boat - Thanks Tim for a great day on the Chesapeak Bay.

Orioles Baseball game with our friends the Kelley's. It was fireworks night, the kids love the fireworkds and the game was good too (this year).

The pool opened on Memorial Day weekend, we are always happy when we get to play in the water. The girls sure found their water personalities this year - both girls are now swimming beautifully and Tylar has figured out how to do hand stands in the pool.
